Impacts of management at a local and landscape scale on pollinators in semi?natural grasslands

چکیده

Managing farmland to benefit biodiversity is becoming increasingly necessary combat declines and maintain ecosystem services. Results-based agri-environmental schemes are a tool used achieve this by paying farmers based on environmental results delivered. These often utilise plant indicator species assess at field scale; however, it unknown if focusing enhancing subset of one group within results-based impacts wider biodiversity, whether local-scale implementation or/and the landscape more important drivers patterns. Insect pollinators provide pollination services for many crop wild plants, as mobile organisms experience large spatial scales. We tested insect affected local scale scheme scored indicators, or management important, there were different responses between taxon-specific groups. Bumblebees, solitary bees, hoverflies butterflies sampled using transects pan traps in 23 fields with varying scores assigned scheme, situated high-intensity (?65% improved grassland) low-intensity semi-natural landscapes. Results indicate grasslands. Bumblebees responded positively higher floral diversity, whereas management. Synthesis applications. Using indicators agri-environment can have indirect benefits non-target taxa like bumblebees, but broader should be developed incorporate other pollinator Pollinator groups respond differently Agri-environmental consider range measures approaches where possible, maximise taxa.

Flower resource and land management drives hoverfly communities and bee abundance in seminatural and agricultural grasslands

Pollination is a key ecosystem service, and appropriate management, particularly in agricultural systems, is essential to maintain a diversity of pollinator guilds. However, management recommendations frequently focus on maintaining plant communities, with the assumption that associated invertebrate populations will be sustained. We tested whether plant community, flower resources, and soil moi...

the effects of multiple intelligences (focus on musical, visual, and linguistic) and direct instruction on learning grammar: a case on iranian efl students at elementary level

1.0 overview it seems that grammar plays a crucial role in the area of second and foreign language learning and widely has been acknowledged in grammar research. in other words, teaching grammar is an issue which has attracted much attention to itself, and a lot of teachers argue about the existence of grammar in language teaching and learning. this issue will remind us a famous sentence f...

A global quantitative synthesis of local and landscape effects on wild bee pollinators in agroecosystems.

Bees provide essential pollination services that are potentially affected both by local farm management and the surrounding landscape. To better understand these different factors, we modelled the relative effects of landscape composition (nesting and floral resources within foraging distances), landscape configuration (patch shape, interpatch connectivity and habitat aggregation) and farm mana...

on translation of politeness strategies in dialogues involving female characters in translations and retranslations of novels translated before and after the islamic revolution of iran and their effects on the image of women: a polysystem theory approach

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

Heterogeneous microcommunities and ecosystem multifunctionality in seminatural grasslands under three management modes

Increasing attention has been paid to the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning (BEF) because of the rapid increase in species loss. However, over the past 20 years, most BEF studies only focused on the effect of species diversity on one or a few ecosystem functions, and only a few studies focused on ecosystem multifunctionality (i.e., the simultaneous provision of several...
